Hi,
Currently I live in Baku, Azerbaijan, last year I was able to do only 4 days of the Camino but found it very calming . I am lucky to have time off coming next week. The plan is to start from Puente de La Reina on Dec. 21st. and walk 7-9 days dependent on weather. Does anyone know if the refugios will be open? Will there be other pilgrims on the trail. It really seems right to try and do more of the camino now . Any suggestions and advice will be most appreciated.

You will have no problem with the selther, don´t worry because of that. In winter, sometimes anyone can be closed.

We will be on the trail! We will be in Puente la Reina on the 23rd of December, but maybe we'll catch up with you along the way. There will be seven of us walking from St Jean Pied de Port. Buen Camino!
