Is there a bus from the Airport to Sarria, or near it

Before anybody yells "Tourist", I'm terminally ill, and only can walk about 50m at the moment. But I WILL walk from Sarria to Santiago in October. Can anybody help me with this: I.ve been trying to look for information about bus-service at the airport - Can I take a bus to Lugo or somewhere near Sarria, or do I have to go to Centro and take a bus from there?

Thanks in advance for all information!

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-

At that time of year, and with enough lead time, I bet you could find someone to share a taxi to Sarria. Jacotrans will do it for about 100 euros. Otherwise you need to go to Santiago and the bus(es) to Sarria require another change. And also, may God be with you on your walk.

Hi, OnePerfectStep,

Welcome to the forum. I think it's safe to say that most of us are very careful to avoid labels, so you should not feel the need to explain yourself. There are as many ways to "do" the Camino as there are pilgrims. Since you did describe your situation, though, let me say I admire your grit and determination in what must be a terribly difficult situation. I hope that the walk will give you strength and joy.

There are actually a lot of threads giving information on the bus from the Santiago airport to Sarria. Check these two out and let us know if they don't answer your questions:

Buen camino to you, Laurie

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
As Far as I can tell the Bus from Santiago to Lugo (Empressa Freire) passes through the airport ten minutes later. At the bus station in Lugo it is possible to get a bus to Sarria. The bus from Lugo is ( Alsa.es)

Buen Camino,

Lydia

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Good day,

You may also take the train from Madrid (Chamartin station) to Sarria directly. I just booked my ticket today via renfe website and had no issue with it. (from Canada) Good luck and Buen Camino!

What the others have said already plus - Buen Camino and all the best and mucha fuerza (lots of strength)! I am sure that you will meet many more people that support what you do rather than people that think of you as a tourist in the sense you used that word. I certainly do admire you and wish you all the best from the depth of my heart, SY

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
