ISO information on pack transport for the Via delaPlata and Sanabres

Time of past OR future Camino
Past Sarria to Santiago then to Finnester, Muxia and back to Santiago

Future. June. Norte route.
I plan on walking on the Via de la Plata from Salamanca north to the junction of the Sanabres and then west to Ourense. Being an older person with a spinal condition I am hoping that a pack transport option is available as on the other routes I have walked. If not I will skinny down my belongings even further but it would be a luxury not to.

Any information on a transport company or taxi service for this route would be greatly appreciated. Gracias.

Perfect memento/gift in a presentation box. Engraving available, 25 character max.
My apologies for the abbreviations. I am looking for information on companies who provide transport of backpacks between stages on the Sanabres and a few stages of the Via de la Plata beginning at Salamanca.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
@geraldkelly's Via de la Plata website is a good place to start:

This is what he says about pack transfer:

Is there a luggage transfer service along the Vía?

There is no luggage service comparable to those available on the Camino Francés offering a door-to-door luggage transfer service along the whole Vía. Taxi drivers will often be happy to transport luggage but you will need to organise and negotiate that yourself for which you will need a basic level of Spanish. The charges for this are general the same as for transporting a passenger (ie. about 1€ per km - although this is not a fixed price and I've heard many reports of taxi drivers taking pilgrims for a ride and not in the way they wanted).

On the Camino Sanabrés after Ourense, Correos (the Spanish post office) runs a backback transport service. More details and booking from their website. Correos.

In 2023 a private company began offering a luggage transfer service on the Camino Sanabrés (from Granja de Moreruela to Santiago). Prices vary depending on distances. They can be contacted at servicioscaminosanabres@gmail.com or call or WhatsApp +34 674 56 98 70.

Thank you for sharing this information. I contacted Servicios Sanabres. They promptly responded and are able to transfer our pack from our starting place in Salamanca. Gracias.

I walked the Via de la plata last year. A Spanish 4 some were using local taxi services to transport packs on the Sanabres. Not sure on the price, but they were not complaining. Buen Camino

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
