Time of past OR future Camino
Frances - SJPdP to Santiago - Sept/Oct 2013
After almost 15 months of preparation, both physical, mental, and spiritual, we're ready(!?) to head out tomorrow. In a way the past 15 months has been a "camino" in and of itself. My thanks for all the support and information I've received to date from Ivar and everyone. I hope I've returned as much in kind. After tomorrow you'll have a few less posts to read as I've made the decision to "be in the moment"!

Now it's time to savor the fruits of the journey, be they joy or sorrow, pleasure or pain.

Buen Camino

It's t-6 days for us. Starting to get excited but in the last days of clearing up work and general life stuff for being away for a month and a half! Everything is packed and ready to go. 12.4 and 13.4 lbs each, without water.

The Camino will provide us with what we need and take from us what we want.

I'm excited for each of you. Buen Camino peregrinos.

Last of all, regardless of the "why" that each of us walks the Camino, let us remember those who put it there so that it is here for us.

I have been preparing for about a year now--not only walking but I have lost 60 pounds in the process--and will begin in October-- I have cut back on my daily walks now to prepare for my long walk in Spain--just to keep the joints loose so to speak.
