JOHN BRIERLEY MEMORIAL FUND

The Portuguese Pilgrim Association, Via Lusitana (www.vialusitana.org) is a charity registered in Portugal.

With the support of John Brierley's family, and other pilgrim associations we are launching this fund to pursue John Brierley's vision that the Camino Portugese from Lisbon can be developed as a viable long distance route. This would relieve the pressure on other Camino routes. The aim is to support the overall pilgrim infrastructure of the route starting with the provision of a new albergue on the first stage out of Lisbon.

You can help:

By donating by bank transfer to a dedicated account set up by Via Lusitana:
Bank: BPI
Name: APVL-ASSOCIACAO PEREGRINOS VIA LUSITANA
IBAN: PT50 0010 0000 55920130001 35
BIC/SWIFT: BBPIPTPL

By donating via GoFundMe:

By organising fundraising events with your friends or local associations.

By sharing this information widely in your networks.

WE CAN DO THIS!
IF THE PILGRIM COMMUNITY RESPONDS WHOLEHEARTEDLY IN MEMORY OF A GREAT PILGRIM AND FRIEND, JOHN BRIERLEY.

I finally got around to having my Compostela and certificates framed. Doing so was more time consuming, irritating and painful than walking. The first attempt by the framers had everything at odd...
I will be volunteering for 15 days at the Pilgrim’s Office in Santiago in late October . I understand that volunteers no longer fill out Compostela’s because a computer prints the names and...
