Hi All

I have been looking at walking the Camino for 5/6 years now and this year looks like it could be the one!!!

However I am unsure when the time to go for me should be. I have read the comments on walking in May and September weather and numbers wise. But May might be too soon and due to family weddings I shan't be able to start until late September and not sure about those dark mornings.

So any information on weather and numbers in June and August. I am not too bothered about it being hot but would prefer months with fewer (ish) numbers.

Any pointers please??
Thank you

If you are thinking of starting in SJPdP, then the stats for 2016 show that there were significantly fewer pilgrims leaving in June and August than in late September. Autumn is peak time on the Camino these days.
Buen camino

I did El Camino Frances in June 5th to July12th. I am doing it this year again same time. Weather was perfect and there were a lot of people but no issues with albergues.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
