Camino Francés (2016).
My wife and I just finished our Camino Frances (Sarria to Santiago de Compostela) yesterday (16. december 2016). And what a journey it have been. We met nice and kind people on our way and only met locals that were very kind to us.
BUT - We could not have done it without the help from you guys (and girls) and all the good details this site gives.
So - Thank you all very much !
Oh - And by the way - We are a couple at 47 years of age and had no training beforehand and we got no blisters or injuries :)

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

€60,-
Transport luggage-passengers.
From airports to SJPP
Luggage from SJPP to Roncevalles
Thanks.
At times it got tough but it was worth it.
What a wonderful experience for soulmates to do a Camino together.
We have fallen in love with the Camino and also the spanish cuisine and wines :)

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
And we were lucky with the weather. Just a little rain in two days and cloudy some days but we had several sunny days with 16-17 c which is a lot warmer than we would have expected :)

That's awesome. I wonder about walking in colder weather. Were accommodations open and available?

Well done, we did that stretch in Oct 2016 & had no rain whilst walking apart from a morning shower in Portmarin which cleared as we started. We had no injuries & the weather apart from two foggy mornings was great (keep in mind that at that time of year it's still pitch black at 08:00am).Our biggest bugbear was the amount of graffiti displayed on sign posts etc (if I ever see another line of "Imagine" &/or the name "Julius" I'll scream !!!) Also the amount of discarded apparel etc discarded at Lavacolla on the airport outskirts was a disgrace. We are Aussies from Melbourne in our early 60's, loved the Spanish food & wines, who also did no training. We enjoyed our Camino Walk immensely.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
