Time of past OR future Camino
late March 2025
Hi everyone My name is Glade. I have decided that i need more solitude in my life lol. So i have decided to walk the Via de la Plata, this will be the very first time i have done a walk/hike of any real distance. I have been walking/hiking for about 8 months now, and to say that it suits my mentality is a understatement.
Now the hard work begins on figuring out everything i need to know before heading off in late march 2025. I have given myself alot of time to get it all together, but if anybody has any Hints/tricks, i would love to hear them.

I hope to speak to you all soon.

New Original Camino Gear Designed Especially with The Modern Peregrino In Mind!
Welcome to the forum. Be sure to browse through the section of the forum devoted to the Via de la Plata. Among the threads pinned to the top of that forum are a Reference thread that might be useful, and a very detailed stage by stage planning thread that we developed during the idle days of the pandemic.

Then, of course, do post your specific questions in a new thread!

Hola and may I also offer a welcome;
Starting in March 2025 certainly gives you a real preparation opportunity. From memory Seville at that time is still quite cool and pleasant. About the only issue you need to plan around is Easter which in 2025 is late (Easter Day is April 20). Holy Week (from Palm Sunday April 13 to the Monday after Good Friday) is a really big event; shops closed and accommodation difficult. If you reached Salamanca by Easter you might need to do a bit of research.
In the meantime certainly follow C's advice and come back with any specific questions. Cheers for now.
