Before we arrived in SJPDP we had heard about the Citadelle and that it was worth a visit. We didn't know much about it but certainly glad we did so, quite amazing for almost being 400 years old! I made a short video about our short hike up the day before we set out on the Camino for anyone else who may be interested in seeing it too.

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Loved watching your video, brought back lovely memories. Thank you for sharing.
Wish you well, Peter.

Beautiful. I'll be there is about 10 days and hope the sky and landscape are just as stunning. What history and stories the Camino tells. Thanks for sharing. Buen Camino.

Thanks for posting. Really enjoyed the video. We hit the ground running in St. Jean and immediately headed off to Valcarlos. Even that morning we were regretting that we'd blazed through a beautiful little town. This makes me want to revisit even more. Maybe someday ........ LePuy to St . Jean?? :)

Glad you enjoyed it. I did exactly the same so was focused during my planning stage to make sure I didn't miss out twice!

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Great video. When we arrived in St Jean pied deport we did not realize that the Citadel was not that far from the pilgrims office. We mistakenly took the long way which brought us into the Citadel from the other side by climbing over 200 steps from the town below. We had our backpacks on too. We laughed and said that it was practice for the roads ahead.
