Hi All

Planning ahead, on bringing a group out from Ireland next May 2014, to complete the last leg from Tui. I would welcome any recommendations in relation to hostel accommodation.

We walked from Sarria this year and stayed in private hostels, paying 10 euro per night. These were of a high standard and suitable for group travel (14 people).

Any advice would be welcome.

Cheers

The urcamino planner only knows of private albergues in Tui, Redondela, Arcade (7km after Redondela) and SdC.

You will either need the group to start walking early and do short days to ensure they get places in non-private albergues, or look into shared rooms in hostales. Some places may have a few triples.

Also consider non-private albergues before the popular stops. For example, Pontecesures has 50-odd beds, and had a particularly busy night with just 5 pilgrims when I stayed there a few days ago (meanwhile Padrón was full.)

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

If you're walking from Tui you can get to Mos on your first day. There's a cafe across the road and a nice restaurant/bar just down the hill from the albergue .
