Le Puy August 20th

Hello from California. I am a 34 year old chef and have dreamed of doing the camino for a few years now. My first goals were to do the PCT and the AT then the Camino de Santiago. Well the first two never came too so I just finished purchasing my plane ticket to Paris and am going to start my Camino in Ley Puy on August 20th. I am running the whole gamut of emotions right now. If anyone has any recommendation of some Gites I shouldn't miss along the chemin I would love to hear them.

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!
I'm glad you're doing your camino, K.

The forum is stuffed with good comment for you. Take some time and wander round the site. You'll like it.

Buen camino

Seviac. The gite is on the grounds of an archeological dig of an old Roman bath, and after the tourists leave and the place closes, you can wander at your leisure. Shirley MacLaine would have been visited by Roman Centurions, but I don't have an imagination that is as good as hers. Call ahead. Take food, as there is nothing there but the gite kitchen.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Hi Kulinarykila,

I'm leaving from Le Puy the same day! 20th May. I'm an IT guy and teacher from Melbourne Australia

I'm staying at Les Capucins Gite on the 19th. Perhaps I'll see you there or on the road.

Take Care

David
