Liner for my backpack

My Camino is getting closer ( start on the 29th of April) and of course am now mulling all sorts of things around in my head. Do I need a pack liner? I read some where that a good quality small garbage/bin bag with a pull tie would suffice for clothes or should I buy a liner/liners. I am using small zip lock plastic bags for my toiletries etc. I am starting to worry as I just read the posting below about rain jacket or poncho and I am taking a rain jacket and rain pants but read how the rain can go between my backpack and rain jacket if the rain is particularly heavy. I am not going to go out and buy a poncho now but thought I might have to do something to prevent the things in my back pack from getting wet. Thanks!

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Hi,

In the past I've just used either a bin liner or a vacuum pack bag around the clothing inside the rucksack, in combination with a rucksack cover and not had a problem despite walking through torrential rain on occasions. The rain will find its way between your back and the bag so also be careful with any documents, money or other paperwork you may be carrying which if not contained within waterproofing may be rendered useless.

Without a passport you could forever find yourself wandering the camino....maybe not a bad thing :)
