I've just had the suggestion from a colleague that we cycle from home (Birmingham UK) to Lourdes as part of an ecumenical pilgrimage. I'm liking this a lot, although if we do it it's a year or two off. Anyone done this or a similar route? And I guess I can bring my credencial too ...

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
You could cycle the Via Turonensis route from Paris to Dax and then cut across to the east towards Lourdes.
The route from Paris to DAX is flatter than a flat-line!

You'll have a few hills between Dax and Lourdes though.
Good Luck

Taking the road route Lourdes to Aucun -then via D918 -> onto the D934 / A136 road through Formigal to Biescas.
From there onto N-260/N-330 to Pardinilla and on into Jack.

Accommodation sorted but does anyone know if there is a luggage transportation service along this all road route?

@Hiker18 Do you know that you are replying to a 10 year old post? @andy.d is a good friend of mine who no longer visits the forum. I don't think that Lourdes is in his plans anytime soon!

Hope to do st Jean de port to finisterre in September 24 on bike. To buy a bike in Ireland and transport or buy in France. Any thoughts welcomed
Is there a dedicated guide for cyclists that suggests alternatives to the rocky/steep parts of the trail? I found a link to a 2018 one on another thread, but it is no longer available.
