Is anyone aware of a place in Pasaia Donibane that will accept luggage left by Correos (for a fee). The place must be available to accept the luggage during the times of 8 am to 2:30 pm. Unfortunately we have booked an accomodation in Pasaia Donibane without a reception and we need a place where our bags can be left until we finish our walk from Hondarribia. If nothing comes up as a result of this discussion....our option will be to have a taxi collect our bags from the Casa Rural in Hondarribia and drive them to Pasaia when we have arrived from our walk....possibly not a cheap alternative. This is our first Camino and unfortunately we booked some accommodations before realising the requirements of luggage transfer by Correos. A lesson to learn for other first timers....to confirm with Correos which accomodations they will take luggage to....then to book the accommodation.
Any suggestions that may help us would be appreciated. We're not in a postion to carry heavy packs duing our Camino.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Did you ask/email Correos which accomodations they will take luggage to in Pasaia Donibane ? With a written request Correos usually reponds very quickly.

I clicked on mspath's link out of interest's sake. It seems quite simple: if you go to "choose your camino" on the right side of the screen, and put your destination as Pasajes de San Juan, they give you a list of all the accommodation they deliver to (Pasai/Pasajes is the same place in Basque/Spanish)

[Edit: oops! Had a niggling doubt so went back to check and it seems the accommodation options apply to the collection point and not delivery point! I tried Pasajes de San Juan as a collection point to see if there were accommodation recommendations, but nothing comes up which is really weird. But Pasajes is definitely on their route, and they give you the option to "pay and choose your accommodation later" so it seems they're quite flexible. In fact, in the FAQs, they say that they will recommend a location or "friendly place" close to your accommodation if it's is not on their list. So shouldn't be a problem, but probably best to write to them anyway).

Thank you for your suggestions. However we have already made contact with Correos ....and we learnt after booking our air bnb accommodation.....that the only way that they will deliver luggage is if the accommodation has a reception open between 8:30 am and 2:30 pm. Our accommodation is a private apartment and no one will be available to meet the driver of the Correos van to accept our luggage delivery.
I was therefore wondering if anyone new of a cafe...shop...or any address at Pasaia that would be available to accept the luggage, for a fee. If not .....our only alternative will be to taxi the bags from Hondarribia to Pasaia. Not sure what others have done in a similar situation.

I understand that there are several bars, cafes etc in Pasajes De San Pedro. The Wise Pilgrim guide mentions the Falcon Crest restaurant but doesn’t give its Basque or Spanish name.
When are you starting? My wife and I are starting from Irún on 14 May.

Just a heads up for anyone who is having luggage transported to and from an accommodation in Pasai, that does not have a reception.....Correos will deliver and drop off luggage at the official post office at San Pedro. Communication with Correos has been excellent and very easy to work with.
