Wow.

Been one wonderful journey.

Hard at times, requiring the full extent of my stubborness (I don't think it's resourceful enough to be termed stamina or endurance)

But I'm here, with a wide range of emotions from emptiness to elation, and many positive and negative ones in between.

Tempted to go for Finisterre but have decided that this is a plentiful sufficiency for now, and I'll keep Finisterre for another time, with the benefit of what I have learnt about the journey and about myself.

Thank you all - and Ivar - for the support provided via the forums. It's been a great help, and I look forward to posting some experiences and thoughts for others to review and perhaps find useful.

Buen camino to all,

Tim

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

And the hunter home from the hill"

Welome back Tim-take it easy now-remember you can get the emotional and spiritual equivalent of the 'bends' by decompressing too quickly ;)

SJPP-SdC (4-5/2011), Ferrol-SdC (9/2011), Pamplona-SdC (3-4/2012), Camino Finisterre (10/2012), Ourense-SdC (5/2014)
Congratulations! Enjoy all the emotions and lovely Santiago! You're absolutely right to go with your feelings about Finisterre or not. I did it separately because I felt it would be a let down after arriving in SdC and didn't regret it. Buen camino!

Thank you everyone for your comments

And I got to meet the very nice Ivar too this evening, when I went to collect my forwarded "unnecessaries".
Everyone should use his service, well maybe everyone should pack the correct weight ;-) but failing that, they should use his service

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

CONGRATULATIONS ! So which camino are you walking next ..... ?

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.

Well done, Tim. Look forward to hearing more about your trip, did you meet many other pilgrims, have difficulties finding beds, food, warmth? Safe and happy return home to you and good luck off he next one!

Yup, Tim surely has it! He's been bitten by the Camino bug. Welcome to the "time between Caminos" AKA CAD (Camino Affective Disorder).

It is similar to Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) in its symptoms. But the only treatment is to do it again, and repeat as needed. I am not aware that there is a cure..not sure I want to be cured... ;)

You are correct to use the time between Caminos to reflect on the one you just finished, what you would do differently, how you might prepare or pack differently, etc. Doing this will keep you sane until the next time...;)

We all know EXACTLY what you are feeling. Welcome to the club...:)

Just adding my congratulations Tim. Good work! And when you feel like no one at home understands and you need a camino fix don't forget to come back here and help out anyone who asks for it with your experience. It's not the same as being there but it's very satisfying while you're waiting:)

This may still be an understatement and you are the one to judge. Once you have digested your experiences, perhaps you'll let us have a look at your notes? Congratulations.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.

Pleased for you Tim.

Next one is when?

Buen Camino

I wanted to think about this.
Emotionally I would say give me a week rest and I'll come back before Xmas
But the beautiful weather here may not last beyond another week and I have domestic care arrangements to resolve.
So in reality it may be April or May with Camino ingles followed by Finisterre.
But I must do my research and pacify some clients who want my attention and service !

Tim

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
