I also opted for the later 'dinner shift' and went first to mass and then to dinner, this way I didn't need to rush off after dinner and could chat with other pilgrims until the albergue closed. Buen Camino! SY

So Yates, if I choose the 8:30 dinner for my pilgrims, they will have time to attend the Pilgrim Mass???
 
Yes, both dinner times are so timed that you can attend mass either before or after dinner, late dinner shift has the added advantage that you can easily keep the Eucharistic fast. Buen Camino, SY

But if the Mass is at 8 pm, and dinner is offered at 8:30, then that's cutting it pretty close, right???

The reason I'm asking is because when you book Roncesvalles albergue, they will book dinner for you at either 7:00 or 8:30
