Rebekah and I made two signs this morning to help with some confusing way markers near Ledigos and Moratinos. She had seen a few pilgrims returning from wrong left and right turns lately. Then we had a delicious menu del dia in Villacazar with Paddy.B8A0F983-0243-487D-A077-B3C4F77487F3.jpeg

Walked the Madrid to Medina de Rioseco, then dropped in on the Moratinos crowd. Tomorrow I am headed to Astorga and currently considering going to Ferrol and completing my journey to SdC from there. Flocks of pilgrims on the CF.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Don, good to see a Pig in Flight. :0) But meanwhile, 'Flock'? I always thought the collective noun for a continuous line of Pilgs was a 'shuffle'. Perhaps that only applies after Sarria.

"Herd of Pilgrims?", "Of course I've heard of Pilgrims." boom- boom.
Yes, this old porcine pilgrim has wings, thanks to ALSA. The shuffle is when you get stuck behind a herd of stinky sheep.D163E8C7-8A67-4B35-A26B-6358E13C14C2.jpeg

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
What a wonderful way to spend a day! Thank you for doing it:)

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.

Good for you! I arrive in Madrid on Tuesday morning and will head north to Tres Cantos on the same. Enjoy the Inglés if you get that far. I hear lots of pilgrims there too. Assume I'll be pretty much alone on the Madrid.

I spent 4 nights solo in albergues. The food situation is the issue. The tiendras will open if you act needy enough, the bar food for the “menu” is fried eggs and ham.

Hello. I am considering walking the Camino for the first time this fall, probably beginning the third week of September in St. Jean. But I keep reading about how crowded the Camino is, including...
Is there a list of albergues that also have private rooms on the Camino Frances? Gracias.
Hi everyone -- After walking the Frances from SJpdP last October, I'm planning to revisit the bit between Logrono and Burgos this July, following different stages. It's the section where I had...
I started out from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port on 1 May. It turned out to be an unforgetable day. Above 1,000 m or so it snowed, catching many people unprepared. Later that day "many" walkers were...
And another attempt looms, to buy a decent Poncho after trying and failing in the previous two likely towns. Anyone know where an Altos or similar might be bought in Leon, please? 😁
