Merino baselayers going cheap(er) than normal - UK

Time of past OR future Camino
2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017,2018, (2019)
I don't know if this post breaaks any rules, so apologies in advance if it does.

I have long heard about the quality of moreno wool products but it has almost always been accompanied by a reference to their cost. As a consequence, I've longed for yet never possessed said items. This will change soon as only yesterday I bought some baselayer tops at up to 60% off their usual price via a Debenhams online outdoor clothing sale. I don't own shares in the company, nor do I know how long the sale will last, but I do know that there may be other forum members in the UK who might wish to take advantage of this seemingly great opportunity.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Sadly they don't seem to sell Merino wool socks, which, I am told, are perfect for minimising the chance of blisters. :(

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

€83,-
I can personally attest to the wonderfulness of merino wool socks and tops. I found Minus33 online, and have purchased and worn their tee shirts and 1/4 zip tops for all my practice walks. They breathe with you, dry fast, and don't get stinky like some of the man made fibers do. They wash well and easily, and air dry over night with no problem so far. 4 stars from this soon to be pilgram from Texas.

Don't be too sad about the socks.

I can attest to the comfort of fine (emphasise FINE) merino tops - I layer a merino T Shirt under a merino cardigan.

But wool socks don't suit me. Other people have different experiences but for me cool max is best for feet.

I suggest you trial wool socks before committing to them.

Finding socks for the Camino is a bit like finding a marriage partner...,,
