My father started his first ever camino yesterday and arrived in Orisson last night. He posted on Facebook that he has made it to Roncesvalles but he's lost his phone. I've managed to freeze his account and have contacted the refuge to see if he left it there. I know it's a long shot but if anyone is currently walking the Frances and spots a mobile without a owner please let me know! Thank you.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
It might be a blessing in disguise! The Camino does things like that. It will work out for your dad don't worry.

I assume someone has tried to call the phone.
Often, that is the simplest solution to a lost phone.
However, if you have locked it...??

Another possibility is the "find my phone" app if it is activated.

I've never lost a modern phone or smartphone but aren't the newer locked phones able to receive calls? ... I hope the lost phone didn't contain pictures ... it's always better to have pictures on a separate device and copy them onto something else (flashdrive?) or upload them/ email them to loved ones ASAP ... my old clamshell phones are so ancient that it'll cost more to retrieve them than it would to simply buy a new one ...

I've tried ringing the phone but no answer. It's a modern phone but a fairly basic one so there's no app to find it! I've contacted the phone company and they've frozen the account. I'm sure my Dad will be fine without it- it was just nice getting a daily text to let us know where he was. He'll just have to find a computer to update through Facebook!
