Hi Cliff175. In case you haven't found it yet, there is great up to date info on Route Napoleon on these sites:
el-camino-frances/topic16961-100.html#p124438
http://www.girlsontheway.com/

A friend and I expect to start in SJPP on April 5 and we're hoping that conditions will have cleared up sufficiently that the Route Napoleon will be open. However, I understand that pilgrims are strongly advised to follow the daily directions of the Pilgrim Office in SJPP as to the passibility of the Napoleon Route.

We'll keep our fingers crossed. Hope to see you along the Way. Buen Camino.

Hi my name is Eddie. From Ireland
I will be arriving in Biarritz on the 14th April 2013 at 15.30. I am willing to share travel expenses to SJPDP via taxi to the train station or whatever other means are available. If any pilgrim has train or bus details please let me know. Thank you.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
