Our family of 4 has been traveling for 8 months and will be walking the Camino in early May. Currently in Portugal and realize we need to replace a pack before our walk. Looking for a pack for someone. 170- 180 cm somewhere between 35 to 50 L. Would also welcome advice for purchasing used gear in Portugal or northern Spain. Many thanks.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Hi Kjell Family, if you're not already familiar with it, the Decathlon chain of stores has decent hiking/ trekking gear at reasonable prices and is located throughout Europe. Try https://www.decathlon.pt/ and https://www.decathlon.es/ to see items and locations. What town are you in right now? If you need locations in English try Googling "Decathlon locations" and see what comes up.

Used gear will be harder to find, but in Spain you could check milanuncios.com and see what's available.

EDIT: I just realized you posted in the "Gear for Sale - Gear Needed" subforum. Sorry I can't help you more regarding used gear, but I hope others may be able to!

Buen Camino,
Faith

If you're in Lisbon, apart from Decathlon there is also a North Face store in Santa Catarina (near Chiado). That's where I got my 35L pack that I used for the Camino Francés last year. The address is:

Largo Doutor AntĂłnio de Sousa Macedo 1D
Lisbon, 1200-109

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.
