Too many and too often!
In what seems like a very familiar story the new Xunta albergue in Piñor is nearing completion after considerable delays. According to this article the last significant obstacle is connecting the electricity supply to the buildings. No date is suggested for the opening. An unusual feature is that this albergue will have stables for use by pilgrims with horses.

Guides that will let you complete the journey your way.
It's a pity about the location. It's on the left branch after Cea, most people go the other way to visit Oseira.
And it's only about 3km after Cea where there's already a Xunta Albergue and where it'll only cut 3km off the 33km gap before A Laxe.

€1.1 million. It's a lot of money in a region where property is extremely cheap. Probably most of this was spent on things which we could have managed without, under-floor heating, a kitchen with no utensils...

Hi all,
I think with the Dozon albergue still closed this option will be used. Last year during semana santa my son wanted to walk alone one day while we were on the the Sanabres so he went through Oseiro and I went through Piñor (he still beat me by a lot) plenty of pilgrims my way and I found it a beautiful walk as well, a good option in my opinion.
Buen camino,
MaryEllen
