New albergue in Zabaldika

Ideal pocket guides for during and after your Camino. Each weighs just 40g (1.4 oz).
This is one place that's not to be missed if you can stop there. New, lovely, and absolutely wonderful people run it. We pushed ourselves too hard to make it here but in the end it was worth it. Fantastic dinner and a small service after if you want to attend. Breakfast in the morning. Wonderful.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.

I would be walking from Ronceville that morning and wonder how difficult is the walk. Also is the albergue far off the camino route to Pamplona?

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

The albergue at Zabaldika is on a short marked path which mounts from the north side of the N135 roadway. From Roncesvalles to the Alto de Erro the camino path through the wood is fine. From Alto de Erro down to Zubiri the path is steep and on shale in places which are very slippery in bad weather. From Zubiri to Zabildika the camino path through the wood parallels the Arga river and the N135 roadway .

Roncesvalles to Zubiri is roughly 23 km; Zubiri to Zalbadika is roughly another 11 km.
