The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
Thank you for sharing that link...this will be much more inspiring and real than the Hollywood version.
Here's the trailer:

Good on him!
And...the Camino is not ours to own - it was here before us and will be here after we die.
So share and share alike. Buen camino to all.

I think it looks really interesting from the clip. It seems to capture both a sense of yearning and the diversity of voices to be heard. Thanks for posting.

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
Don makes a very good point. The film looks to have been made during the summer. The conga line of pilgrims on the Frances might dissuade some pilgrims from making the trip, at least during that period. One hopes so anyway.

The daily pilgrim arrivals at the Pilgrim Office are already starting to exceed 1,500 daily. When I return in mid-July to work for a month, I am assessing that we will be looking at 3,000 daily around the Feast of Santiago on 25 July...YIKES!

When I was there last week, I learned they are on track to exceed last year's 303,000 volume... Another movie is nice...but...

Cathedral renovations are proceeding in an 'all hand's on deck' mode to get everything done before the next Holy Year in 2021. The Botafumeiro is back in regular use. The scaffolding in front of the Cathedral facade is smaller than it was last summer.

Likewise, renovations at the Pilgrim Office to expand processing capability in time for the anticipated spike in pilgrims is continuing in parallel. The issue is funding. The Cathedral is priority number one. The pilgrim office is a second priority.

Hope this helps.

I don't think this is new. This trailer has been posted for a long time. I have yet to find the actual movie be released. If anyone has details, please provide.

Dates are all over the place for this documentary. Filmed in 2014 it screened in Canada on October 2nd in 2016 at the Vancouver International Film Festival. In the USA it was shown as part of the official selection on April 4th 2017 at the Cleveland International Film Festival.
Now it is showing (May 4 - 10) at the Cinema Village in New York. In the meantime the film won the title of Best Documentary at the Spokane International Film Festival.
I haven't found mention yet of it being available for sale, but it shouldn't be long according to the official site of the movie. And here you'll find loads more info and media.

Yes it was filmed then in 2014 he was there in Mansilla at the same time as us with quite an entourage of support if my memory serves me correctly and he performed in the church there and he was quite good.

I just got a response from the production company for Strangers on the Earth and it will be available on iTunes in the US on September 25th. YEAH!
