Hi, I am from Australia and planning to walk the El Camino del norte in June 2010. I would like to get as much info as possible to make this pilgramige as memorible as possible.Dorthe
Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.
Welcome to the forum. There's quite a lot of information and experience here already, so I'd suggest searching the existing posts before jumping in and posing questions. There are also a number of people on the forum who have walked El Norte (I, alas, have not) who can help you out with questions specific to that camino.
There are several Forum threads on the crowds that may occur in 2010. With fewer accommodations on the Camino del Norte, if a large number of pilgrims switch from the Camino Frances to the Camino del Norte, they will create the crowd they seek to avoid! June will be a prime starting time on all of the pilgrimages, so be prepared for people and self-sufficiency.
Greetings to all.
