I have just been notified that my Paul Chinn guidebooks for Besancon to Vercelli and from Vercelli to Rome have been sent to a post office in Switzerland (Aubonne?) instead of one here in France.
I am in Besancon right now and I can't afford to stay here while another set is sourced and posted to me. Has anyone got any practical advice to share that will help me to continue my journey and/or to be reunited with my invaluable guide books? If anyone can provide the stage names and distances from Besancon to the Great St Bernand Pass that would be a great help, not least in enabling me to decide how practical it is to deviate from the VF route to go to the Post Office in Aubonne, Switzerland.
Thank-you.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Do you have a smart phone? We can email you a GPS track.
Newfydog, I have an iPhone but I'm not really qualified to use it. I have fought shy of GPS on the basis that I will incur horrendous UK data roaming charges if I switch it on outside a Wi-Fi network. I am grateful for the offer and will say "yes" in the hope my fears are baseless.
