New Original Camino Gear Designed Especially with The Modern Peregrino In Mind!
Hi John -

Near as I can tell, it's 1300-1350 km from Carcassonne to Finisterre. If you walked 25 km day average that would take you about 54 days, but if I were you I'd add another 5-10 days to that (for injury, R&R and taking advantage of some really great towns along the way).

So basically 60-65 days is what I'd reckon.

Others more familiar with the French routes will have more pertinent and likely more accurate information for you.

Buen camino -

lynne

EDIT: likely less than that so I'll amend it to 1200-1300 perhaps

I bought the guide book "Le Chemin du Piemont pyrénéen" from Narbonne-Plage on the Mediterranean coast, via Narbonne, Carcassone, Saint-Girons, Lourdes and Oloron-Ste-Marie to Roncesvalles in Spain. http://www.stanfords.co.uk/stock/le-che ... ux-153370/
It is about 362km from Carcasonne to Oloron and another ± 40km to the Somport Pass.
160km to Puente la Reina on the Aragones route, and 683km to Santiago. ± 90km to Finisterre.
So, you'll have just over 400km in France and 930km in Spain.
