I was having coffee in Ages and found the man who lost his poles. He described them before seeing them and was so happy to get them back. I was happy to pass on a favour that I have been on the receiving end of more than once on the camino.

:):) This thread gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling.....and reminds me of an incident that occurred on the first day of my camino.

I was walking down the hill heading out of SJPP, when I heard someone calling out behind me. I looked around and saw running towards me the proprietress of the cafe where I had had breakfast a couple hours earlier. In her hands were my poles which, up to that point, I had not realized I had left at her cafe. Somehow she had caught sight of me leaving town and wanted to return my poles to me. Such kindness....on my very first day. :):)

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.

And another attempt looms, to buy a decent Poncho after trying and failing in the previous two likely towns. Anyone know where an Altos or similar might be bought in Leon, please? 😁
