Hi everyone,
This will be my second Camino. I'm going to fly from Australia to Paris (or maybe London). Can someone suggest the best city to fly into to access Leon as my starting place please?

Madrid.

Leon has an airport but service to it is very limited; there are not flights to Paris or London.

AENA manages Spains airports. Find airline and destination information for each airport.

Renfe provides frequent service to Leon from anywhere Spain. Trains leave Madrid from Chamartin. Alvia trains make the trip in about 3 hours.

ALSA provides frequent service from Madrid Estacion del Sur and Madrid Intercambiador Moncloa. There are a couple buses that stop at T4 Madrid airport.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Thanks guys - I will now fly Emirates straight to Barcelona and then take a flight into Leon. Saves time.
Happy New Year!
