If I wanted to get my pilgrim passport before going to Spain, is there a convenient way to do so in Vancouver? I've never heard of any place here that I can go in person, so I assume I would order one online. And I also assume there are multiple places where I can order one from. Any suggestions for the quickest easiest place to order one?

I'll be walking the VDLP next month. I know there are several places in Seville where I can pick one up as well, I'm just seeing what I can take care of in advance.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

€83,-
Two places immediately spring to mind. First is The Canadian Company of Pilgrims, a national organization with a strong BC chapter that you should join anyway…..they have the rights to issue you a Canadian version of the CdS credential already kitted out with your name etc. Second, to get the official Spanish version, it’s available from this forum in the online shop…..Ivar will get it to you by post in a few days. Don’t forget to scan the QR code on the inside cover of the credential and register with the Pilgrims office in advance for your Camino. If you’re walking the VDLP, I would buy two credentials as you’ll fill the first one by half way! Buen Camino!!

Hi Martin 888, I bought few months ago a guide book on the online shop and I receive with it a credential, I don't find the QR code. What is the purpose of it ?. And can I fill it by the volunteers at the Pilgrim Office in Saint-Jean ?

Thanks

There is also a Vancouver chapter of the Canadian Company of Pilgrims which holds weekly practice walks where you might be able to pick up some practical tips, especially if you have not done a Camino previously. (https://www.santiago.ca/chapters-local-contacts/).

The QR code is just a link to this website where you can pre-register for your Compostela.

When you receive your credential I recommend that you write your contact information in it, either email address or phone number.

You can also order one from the American Pilgrims Association, they will mail to Canada.
The Canadian Company of Pilgrims. You can join them online and they will send you one.

As mentioned above, the Canadian Company of Pilgrims sells them for $5 to members (the membership is $10/year). Allow three weeks for mailing. If you don't have three weeks, contact the local chapter (vancouver@santiago.ca) and they will be able to get one to you sooner. It might be worth contacting them in any case. They also host weekly practice walks and biannual meetings.

If you’re Canadian it’s kind of fun to have your credential from the CCoP with the Canadian flag on it. They will make every effort to get it to you quickly as they are super helpful…orders@santiago.ca Buen Camino!

I just ordered one last week from Canadian Company of Pilgrims as well as a Canadian Company of Pilgrims Patch for my Pack

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Thanks all, very helpful. I've joined the CCoP and ordered my credential. One less thing to worry about when I arrive.
