Looking at doing my first Camino in January 2023, Does anyone have any tips for how much to plan for a winter Camino? I heard it can be difficult to find open accommodation at this time of the year. Any packing and planning tips are appreciated, this is my first time planning on my own.

I haven’t walk in January but I would think that if you can plan your stages you can then look for accomodation on booking.com to see what’s open. Most albergues, except municipals, are on booking.com. It doesn’t give you the flexibility of stopping as you wish but since the Portuguese is shorter the stages you plan are likely the same stages you’d stop at even if you didn’t plan ahead.
