Out the door at 5 and immediately into the hills, climbing a single track 👣 up, up and more up.
Passed a beautiful castle and a bunch of baby goats.
About mid morning the trail made a sharp descent to a tarmac road and within about 400 meters, around a curve there it was; the French/Swiss border I had been eager to see.
No border formalities. Just walk across, but not until I stopped to photograph 1 foot in France and 1 foot in Switzerland.
A "minor" milestone with Hopefully more to come.

2024?
Bob, you're selling yourself short...walking across France is no 'minor' accomplishment!
I didn't think to do the foot-in-each-country thing (I don't remember seeing an actual line) but I did mark the occasion this way....

Welcome to Switzerland, Bob

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
