We just completed our first Camino along the Camino Frances from Ponferrada on Mother’s Day. We are already looking to do the Portuguese Camino from Porto along the Coastal route, and would like to include Fisterra and Muxia along the way to Santiago de Compostela. Is this practical is the branch off the main route marked?

Thank you for your input.

The usual procedure is to take the coastal to Santiago and then journey to Finisterre and/or Muxia afterward. Those two places are not on the coastal route per se.

There is no waymarked connection between e.g Redondela or Pontevedra to Cabo Fisterre and/ or Muxia.
since recently there is a waymarked route from Noia to Santiago (101 kms) but waymarked in the Santiago direction .
only possibility is to walk from Padron into the direction of Noia and than follow the coast to Fisterre . Look on Google Maps what I mean but this is hardly impossible. I did it once by car. What was quite a detour . Better finish in Santiago and than follow the waymarked path from there .

Hello, Has anyone stayed in the Convent Monumento San Benito in A Guarda? It is pricey but looks interesting - worth a splurge?
