Does anyone have a recommendation of which company to deal with to get a SIM card for Portugal?
Last year in Spain we got the Sim from Orange in the Mundo plan. No data but cheap calls to Canada, the US and Mexico. Do you know if there is something similar in Portugal?

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

i bought a vodafone SIM for my 'unlocked' Nokia - 10 or 12euros - at a vodafone store in Baixho Chiado shopping arcade (near metro station) - but only used it for calls within portugal. (and texted) - for rare voice calls to the US or other euro places, i used skype (in iPad) when i had wifi connection in a hotel or pensao.
once or twice i 'reloaded' some euros onto the card. always worked fine - no probs.
good luck in finding something suitable and easy - Bom Caminho -

I think that will work. We have Nexus 5s, unlocked, I think we can use one phone with the Portuguese Sim for calls within Portugal and get a plan with our phone company for calls to Canada on the wife's phone.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Thanks.

If you own a smartphone, download the app Ringcredible.
You charge it with 10€ and use the phone with wifi connection.
Being in Portugal last year, I phoned to a Portugese number , 30 minutes for 0,58 €. And from home in Holland to relatives in Los Angeles CA 12 minutes for only 0,19 € .

Suggest going to vodafone in airport (if that is how you will arrive). It is closeby the exit that takes you to the metro. Super helpful. Bought a sim card and with 10 euro ut laste us the full 3 weeks with time to spare (local calls and data).
