Primitivo in May

We walked the Primitivo in 2015 and loved it. That was in September. We are looking at walking it again this coming May. Would welcome comments from anyone who has walked it in May regarding weather, crowds (or lack thereof), places to stay, etc. After 9 years, we do not expect it to be the same, and a camino is always different when you walk at a different time of year.

I walked in late May / early June in 2018. Weather-wise, there was still a fair amount of rain, but that comes with the territory in those parts. Numbers-wise I thought it was ‘just right’ and we were part of a nice group doing the same stages, although I imagine it’s more popular now.
