Public transport from Roncesvalles to Sarria

Hi! A group of friends and I are starting in St Jean and walking to Roncesvalles but then need to get from Roncesvalles to Sarria to walk the last 116km- any advice would be appreciated- it is our first Camino! And first time in Spain! Thank you in advance

Well, you must like adventures!

You will be able to get a Bus from Roncesvalles to Pamplona. I think there are two a day, probably not Sundays.

From Pamplona your fastest route will be Train to Madrid, train to Sarria, one direct train per day more if you change in Ourense.

Thank you I did read on a very old thread somewhere that there is a way to join a train route from Barcelona at Pamplona and then travel west across northern Spain instead of dipping down to Madrid but your suggestion is the only one that really comes up online so I guess that is the option these days! Thank you for the links- will have a look now

A search of RENFE's site suggests a more direct option from Pamplona to Sarria. It would have you going through Burgos and Leon rather than Madrid, leaving Pamplona at 13:24 and getting into Saria at 21:15, with a change of trains in Monforte De Lemos.
