RailEurope is Giving Me an Ulcer...

Time of past OR future Camino
Frances SJPP to SdC Oct/Nov 2015

Camino Somewhere September 2017
Ha ha, just kidding. Wait! I'm serious, kind of.

Okay, so I booked a ticket online through Rail Europe. I know, I should have booked through Renfe. I did not check with the experts first.

So, I got my ticket, got a tidy little confirmation e mail, and when I click on PRINT TICKET, it downloads into a bunch of gobbledygook that looks like computer code.

What the hell?

There is all my information in the e mail---my name, my visa information that says it went through, my address, my booking information, my departure, what time, where from, etc. There is even a little six-digit number. But will a ticket print?

No. It will not.

I may be able to contact my fancy credit card and just cancel the damn thing, but await further instructions from you all. In the meantime, I'm just going to take deep breaths!

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Yeah, stick with Renfe always found them straight forward to deal with. SOOOOO envious that you are out getting out there, have a beer (or two) for me along the way.

I'm sorry that you are dealing with this. I have the RENFE app on my phone, and it's easy to book that way - but I've found that I have to use PayPal for payment. But then I have a handy dandy QR code on my phone to scan at the train station. And don't forget that when you buy a long distance train ticket the price of a local train to the station is included. I just go to the information desk and they give me the paper ticket for the local train.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

€83,-
Deb, I can commiserate. But in my case the headache has at times been trying to book online with Renfe.
So I have gotten in the habit of using loco2.
Never a problem. I know, I know - famous last words. So I'll add...yet.:D
(BTW, someone here turned me on to this site; it's a goldmine of specific information about trains all over Europe.)

Huh again?!! Haven't you just just done it? That's not fair!

Just just done what?

I just just went to Spain in 2016, and 2015! It's 2017, and.....

1. I got a cheap RT flight!
2. I need it for my health.
3. I deserve to do it, for hosting all those parties for my in-laws all summer.
4. I will only be gone a short time.
5. Before I leave, I'll be working so hard at X. When I return, I'll be working so hard at Y.

Need more? I'm getting good at the rationalization!

Oh, I see....No, LATE September when I really should be back in school (Rod Stewart allusion to Maggie May) is when I'm leaving).

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.
