Hi, I'm on the Levante and a week away from Zamora and need to decide my route from there, is the railway construction still a consideration or is it finished?
To Astorga or not to Astorga that's the question?
Regards
George

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
I walked from Verin in February and there was no construction around there, also they are running the AVE from Ourense via Zamora to Madrid so they should have finished the railway line :)
I took the Portuguese route from Zamora so I missed the construction work but I would say that the route from Laza to Ourense and beyond far beats the route from Astorga and will be quieter.
Buen camino
