camino de Frances 2017
Just wondering what might be causing a rash on top of my foot. Is it the socks? The shoes? Or thin skin due to get older? Anyone else get that and are there suggested ways to handle it. Or shall I ignore it and it will go away on its own like so many other rashes?

Prepare for your next Camino on California's Santa Catalina Island, Oct 27 to Nov 2
I really do not know? However, I can tell you we started getting a rash on the upper foot that turned out that we were not sufficiently rinsing our socks out. We made sure there was no soap left in the socks, used a bit of betamethazone on the rash for a few days and all was well. Could be a heat rash? If it does not go away maybe check with pharmacist or doctor.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Thanks. I see there is a lot of information on it. Haven't started walking the Camino yet but both my husband and I go a rash in our practice walk yesterday. We also got it walking in the past.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
How do I end this thread. I have enough info.

Here is a pic from 2016, I love the simplicity of the sketch map and directions "1 km climb up, 5km flat, 5km down". I wonder how the prices are now?
