Re-using the same Pilgrim Passport??

Hi,
I walked from SJPDP to Castrojeriz in May. I am returning in September to walk from Castrojeriz to Finisterre. Does anyone know if I can use the same Pilgrim's passport as I used in May?

Does anyone know the bus schedule from Burgos to Castrojeriz. I can't seem to find it on line with Amaya Bus Line.

Thanks!!
Rachelle from Canada:)

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
I think it would be a good idea to continue your Camino on the same credential. You may want to pick up another as many people find the original to be filled up long before Santiago.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
...oh Castrojeriz, one of my favorite spots along the Camino Francés. Was there just a few days ago myself. As I only walked 6 days I used the same credential as I did in 2010 when I walked from SJPdP to Finisterre - still had a few pages left over.

Buen Camino!

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Hi Rachelle,

Got A3 sheet of all Burgos bus times when I was there in April, like you back in August/September to resume.

Autobuses Amaya run the Fromista service via Castrojeriz, departing 17.30 Monday to Friday excepting festival days. Phone number for Amaya is 947 26 90 32/947 48 62 70.

There is also a 14.45 service on Monday and Friday to Arenillas Riopisuerga and Castrojeriz run by Autobuses de Castilla SL, tel 947 47 28 30.

Hope that helps.

Regards, John

This is great John, thanks so much for the info. I will be landing in Madrid on September 13, taking a bus to Madrid and another bus to Castrojeriz. Hoping to get to Castrojeriz on that same day and start walking on the 14th.

And thanks to everyone else for posting about re-using my Pilgrim Passport. I'm all set!!:)

Rachelle,

You must be very excited as the time for your departure draws near!

Glad to learn that you will be continuing from Castrojeriz. It has always been a pleasure to walk the Camino along the spine of this town up to the municipal albergue. In 2009 other pilgrims included a couple traveling with a DONKEY which noisily ate outside the albergue window all night! He seemed to snort a lot.

Nearby at 43 Real de Oriente is a nice cafe, La Taberna, with a Brazilian connection. A big photo of the author Paulo Coelo standing with the owner is next to the door. I have often eaten here over the years since their pilgrim dinner is excellent and cheap. The owner-barman, a true diplomat, always remembers me. You might enjoy it also.

Buen Camino,

Margaret
