Hi, I hope to hike the full 5oo miles starting June but also wanted to know if I have to cut it down to 2 wks what is the most powerful section in terms of the energy of the ley lines, transformative in bringing up the subconscious & increasing intuition for those of you who are attuned to such things. Thanks Swikar

there is a new book out in the "powerful places" series by Elyn Aviva that focuses on the Camino de Santiago, detailing the ancient and sacred sites some say hold special spiritual significance.

I have lived on the Parallel for five years now, and I see pilgrims having spiritual experiences all up and down the Way, with little relation to ley lines or sacred geography. Unless of course they have read or heard in advance that the juju is in some particular place! Trying to plan an itinerary around such things is, I think, setting yourself up for disillusion. Start out walking, and keep an open mind. It will happen for you, maybe, with or without Templar Knights or fire lines. If it´s out there, it is probably already in you when you arrive.

IMHO.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Joyce Rupp talks about the spiritual energy to be found on pilgrimage routes in her wonderful book "Walk in a Relaxed Manner".

If she is correct then it is there all right and in all probability it will be in you by the time you reach Santiago, whether you are conscious of it or not.

Hi Sound

I'd suggest that the energies you speak of are within you and most directly accessed there, independent of place. Having said that, some find that walking a Camino can be a 'hotline' to the subconscious. Yet a camino can lead us to the water but it can't make us drink.

My best wishes to you for a wonderful camino, whichever you walk. I hope you find what you seek.

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
There is "energy" all along the Camino. The way I look at it, there have been so many people walking it for such a long period of time, contributing some of their own energy to it, the Camino has become a "ley line" in & of itself.

Beyond that, all I can say is that whenever I asked (prayed) for something, it was provided, although not always in the manner I had envisioned.

It seems that the energy was there because of what I did, not because of where I was. Something happens to me when I walk beyond 35 kms in one day. I don't plan to walk that far. It just is the right thing to do. Walking in the rain does it too. The last hour of walking 40 kms is transformative and 4 or 5 hours in a gentle rain brings peace.

I can't "make it happen" it just does when I don't expect it.

I hope your Camino is satisfying experience.

Hi there

If you're still with us, here's something which might interest you.. :D , which I chanced upon today when reading.

This quote is from the Leicester Book, by Leonardo da Vinci. The cosmology here is essentially medieval, and the language is a poetic analogy between the earth and the body of Man...

"We may say that the earth has a spirit of growth, and that its flesh is the soul, its bones the successive strata of rock, its cartilage the tufa, its blood the veins of its waters". Etc etc.

I look forward to hearing of your pilgrimage and your earth energy discoveries. I'll keep an eye open for your posts.
