Restarting camino midway

I plan on restarting my Camino in Burgos where I had to stop in 2007. I am a retired woman who will be walking solo which I did during the other stages beginning in Le Puy en Velay. I am hoping to travel from the Madrid airport to Burgos on arrival day and then walking to Tardajos. Is it probable that I will have difficulty finding a bed arriving late in the day there? Advice on subsequent stops is welcome. The first few days I do not want to push myself too hard as jet lag and my senior citizen status have to be considered and I am so looking forward to not only reaching Santiago but continuing my journey.

You don't write with month you are planning to walk, so it is more difficult to advice. You always could reserve a bed in La Fabrica http://www.alberguelafabrica.com/ to have a relaxed way from Burgos and they do have gorgeous food there! Alternatively there is Rabe just 1,5 km further on ... Buen Camino! SY

Thank you. I am planning to start end of the 1st week in May.I have not booked my flight from the U.S. yet. On my past Camino it was almost impossible to reserve a place in Spain. I will check out La Fabrica.

Things have changed now on the Camino, whilst I am fiercely advocating going with the flow for the most part of your Camino, I equally fiercely advocate to taking the stress out of the beginning and reserving your first night on route. Buen Camino! SY

Wishing you a wonderful camino, if arriving late I think it probably is safer to book ahead, unless you felt you would have the legs to walk on. I haven't walked that far 'yet' so I can't offer any further advice but to enjoy it.

As soon as I work out the distances to do the first 2-3 days, I will reserve. The last time I was on the Camino it was almost impossible to reserve in Spain unlike in France.
