Last night it poured rain in St. Maurice after a hot humid walking day.
This morning woke up to clear skies, cold and windy conditions. (Crazy weather here).
Had a short 9 mile, (14.5km) uphill day to Martigny passing beautiful waterfalls, snow covered alpine peaks and walked through Peach and apricot fields.
The highlight of my day though was coming upon a wood covered bridge from the early 1800s.

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!

The waterfall picture is taken from a waterfall called Pisse vache in French, and in English translates to pissing cow. How is that for the name of a waterfall? LOL

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Costs plummeting?
I certainly hope so. Switzerland is downright obscene with their prices!
Anyone planning to walk through Switzerland start to save your pennies, nickels and dimes (euros) now.
Still a beautiful country though.

Tomorro, you’ll be back in Euro country, not Swiss francs. Enjoy. The climb and the pass are absolutely gorgeous this time of year.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

It starts right at GSB - the Italian border is about 200m from the hospice. You can go over the border for a Euro 2.50 cup or coffee!!!
