Hi folks, anybody made this trip reciently? we have a day to get back from Santiago to Bilbao, whats the best way? i.e cost against duration etc.

Anybody used the bus for this route before?

Malcolm

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
I needed to get to Bilbao from Santiago last year and found the cheapest method by far was to take a train to A Coruña and a flight with Volotea to Bilbao. I did stay overnight in A Coruña as I was keen to take a look around. The flight cost me around €14. If the timings work it could be a good option for you.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Thanks for all your suggestions, we found a great solution; we just hire a car!

We leave in our own time, obviously pre-arranged pick up from Santiago Train Station, big drive on the day, but we can stay the night in Burgos en-route back, and drop the car at Bilbao Airport... no messing, all under own steam, and allot easier!!

We had a direct am flight June 20 th on Iberia. Am flight cancelled so ended up taking Vueling via Barcelona. Worked well but checked bag got lost for a day. Train and bus took too long for us
