Santiago to Sarria for last 100km

Time of past OR future Camino
6th October
Hello

I’m going to be walking the last 100km of the Camino Frances (Sarria to Santiago) arriving in SCQ airport on 6th October at 16:30. Sadly I can’t get the time off work to do more!

My understanding is that my best options are then either to stay the night in Santiago and get the 11am bus to Sarria the next day, or to get the Freire bus from the airport to Lugo and then Monbus from Lugo to Sarria, although I’m not sure I’d achieve that all on the same day given the lateness of the time my flight gets in.

Wondering if it might be better to get the bus straight from SCQ airport to Lugo, stay the night in Lugo, and then get the final bus to Sarria the morning on 7th.

Any advice or suggestions welcome!

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

You’ve done great research.. I’m in SDC late afternoon when I arrive—I’ll stay the night— I’ve been thinking about catching the early bus to Lugo—hanging out there a few hours then catching it to Sarria —grab a bite— and hustling to Portomarin— I’ll be there mid-October- I checked- the Sunset is about 7:45p

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Thanks all for the responses, I have made the decision to stay the first night in Lugo and give myself time to explore it before heading onto Sarria the next day, then enjoying Sarria before starting my walk the following day

At the moment my rough walking plan is looking something like this:

Sarria to Portomarín
Portomarín to Palas de Rei
Palas de Rei to Melide
Melide to Ribadiso/Arzua
Arzua to O Pedrouzo/Amenal
O Pedrouzo/Amenal to Santiago

But again - grateful for any recommendations or advice!
