confession time
.
i carried too much kit (duh !)
.
i walked the vdlp in Sept / Oct for 6 weeks
as a first time camino walker, and not knowing what to expect, i carried gear appropriate for both seasons
so i had a
light sleeping bag + a bag liner (+ 450g)
wind-breaker (+ 150g)
hard-core water jacket (+ 250g)
2 beanies (woolen hat things?) (+ 50g)
3lt camel water carrier (+ 100g)
i packed all my gear into hard-core waterproof bags (+ 600g)
compression pack to compress and waterproof my sleeping bag (+ 150g)
gaiters (+50g)
additional 3 prs liner sox (+ 50g)
uv sun protect arms (+ 25g)
a second fleecy top (+ 150g)
a bigger backpack (40lt) to hold all the extra stuff (+ 300g)
= an additional say 2.5 kgs
.
? how did you deal with your walk spanning 2 seasons

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Equip for the colder one, keeping in mind that you can wrap a sleeping bag in a poncho for warmth, and sleep in clothes. My only change in equipment was a warmer sleeping bag, which was quite welcome in the unheated albergues. Your list seems to include backup equipment, such as a second knit cap, which probably is not necessary for the colder weather.

Walking the Levante in autumn 2009 was a similar problem. Early September meant high 30's, late October below freezing. In terms of sleeping, I had a thin sleeping bag, a silk liner and an outer bivvy bag. This worked fine. Layering worked OK for clothes. A warm hat and gloves were worth the weight for me. A waterproof/ windproof jacket and trousers meant extra warmth at the end, better than a poncho. You do have to carry more weight unless you can post yourself or buy some new gear part way through.
