My wife and I and a friend will be venturing to Spain for our first Camino. We're starting in Pamplona on Sept. 26. Does anyone have any suggestions on a place to stay in Pamplona?

Welcome to the forum. Enjoy the planning!.

Gronze is a useful planning tool if you are planning to stay in albergues. Here are the accommodation listings for Pamplona from its website.

There are lots of guidebooks and apps listing accommodation, for example Wise Pilgrim.

I've stayed at the Hostel Casa Ibarrola twice. I'd stay there again. Roomy place with sleeping pods and lockable closets. It's not in the center of town, so a little less noisy. The two brothers that run the place couldn't be more helpful.

I like Pension Sarasate. I also liked Hotel Eslava, but I think they sold it and it has another name. I've also stayed at Alojamientos Olga and Alojamientos Iruña. Those last two are a bit out of the Old Town section but you'll get a head start in the morning. A short walk back to town for food - maybe 1 k? Their prices are great, they're clean and comfie. Hostal Arriazu is convenient and clean - I also like it. I'd say get on booking.com and look around. If you want an Albergue, people love Jesus y Maria. I also love Albergue Casa Paderborn very VERY much if you can get in.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Will be starting late October, and have marked Pamplona as one of those cities that really needs a bit of time to be explored. As such, will be doing two nights and suspect a hotel stop booking in lieu of changing albergues. As has been noted - Gronze and Booking.com are excellent resources for finding a good spot to lay your head. Enjoy your pilgrimage!!

We will be there at close to the same time! I plan to leave from Pamplona on 9/25. Perhaps we will see each other there! This thread is very helpful.
