Hi all - I'm actually just starting this thread so I can post my start date on the calendar.
AND - I love this forum.
Start date is September 14 from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Right after a business trip. (Fun packing experience). The plan today is to fly into Madrid then train to Pampola. I'm not wanting to have my first two days to be grueling by starting at St. Jean. (yes - I can be a chicken). I hoping to meet others here and then there.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.

Hello Roxane,
As someone who starts again in under two weeks, I sort of envy the excitement you must be feeling at this stage - for me the planning and preparation are just as good as the Camino experience.

Buen Camino

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).

John, I see that you are starting another Camino. That is great!!! I recall starting just a few days ahead of you in May last year. The wife and I will be doing the Camino in Sept this year. Buen Camino

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Hi Roxane, you can begin your Camino where ever you want. But I can tell you , you wil mis a great experience walking over the Pyrenees to Zubiri. I wish you well and a Buen Camino, Peter.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

Hi Roxane, I too am travelling in Sept/Oct. I too hesitated about going over the Pyrenees, and it took my son to remind me "You know Mom, you will regret it if you don't". Being a photographer, there is no way I could not not do it. I look at it as just putting one foot in front of the other. Sure, it may become somewhat arduous, but therein lies the lessons; how will I meet the challenges and how will I deal with them? I do wish you well. Buen Camino

HI My Name is Kelley I live in Montana. I will be walking the Camino Sept 14th. This is a first for me. I have not been a world traveler and this is so intimidating for me. Looking for help to just get on the trail and then I will me fine. Any thoughts? My e-mail is kpricekprice@hotmail.com and thanks.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
I feel a little disappointed for you Roxane as the scenery in the Pyrenees is the finest of the Camino Frances, and the walk not as difficult as some make out, if proper precautions are taken.
Having said that I'm sure you will have a most enjoyable walk.
Buen Camino
Gerard
