I wasn't being rude - it's a genuine concern. Can we please try to answer questions, especially from new members, without being rude.
Its a genuine concern for many people but everyone must make their own decisions based on the regulations of the host countries. It could maybe have been put a little better.I wasn't being rude - it's a genuine concern.
I should have flown to Spain this week but had to cancel due to UK GOV travel advice ,and the increasing shutdowns in parts of the Camino.I am envious of anyone who can be there now but each must make their own choice.I'm wondering if anyone from UK is intending to travel and walk in Spain late September this year?
I have a plane ticket (booked in June, absurdly cheap) to southern France on September 26th. Originally I intended to use it to start my camino and cross the Pyrenées a few days later. Now it's more like "I hope to use it".

Yes! I’m hoping to go on 20 September. Obviously I am watching the stats very carefully and may decide not to, but for now I’m still hoping...I'm wondering if anyone from UK is intending to travel and walk in Spain late September this year?
In the past, September was the busy Senior Citizen season. We all waited till the kids were in school to avoid the rush and created our own rush. Likely different this year due to Covid19.I'm wondering if anyone from UK is intending to travel and walk in Spain late September this year?
Asking politely, in the light of the FCO advice not to travel to Spain, do you have travel insurance and, if so, will it still be valid?due to fly out this sunday 6th sept .to resume at burgos, still unsure to go or not to go ,?
Your daughter is very wiseMy daughter said to me last night, why would you want to walk the camino in the current situation, you won't be able to enjoy it the same as previous caminos.
I plan to start later this month as well. And just recently booked my flight. As long as you're smart, respectful of regulations, etc, if you are comfortable go for it.due to fly out this sunday 6th sept .to resume at burgos, still unsure to go or not to go ,?
Well done! Let’s look forward to next yearMy daughter said to me last night, why would you want to walk the camino in the current situation, you won't be able to enjoy it the same as previous caminos. She is right, so today I managed to change my flights for the third time since booking last October for an April 2020 camino, free of charge with easyJet. Now hopefully things will be better at the end of March next year
Buen Camino, Ultreia! Let us know how it goes!I'm flying in mid September to do the Frances. The EHIC card still works for me until January 1. Next year there'll be no EHIC coverage, nor will there be any health insurance because the UK govt will say no non-essential travel so health insurance will not cover you. I'm going while the going is good.
We could have met as our dates coincide but alas "" no can do"".BuenCamino if you get there.due to fly out this sunday 6th sept .to resume at burgos, still unsure to go or not to go ,?
Very wise decision, enjoy your training in the winter. My original flight was booked for 2nd April. Obviously I couldn't go due to Corona, so rescheduled it for the 26th September, thinking everything would surely be back to normal by late September. Its not though, so that flight will be leaving without me. I just don't think its safe at the moment. I've waited my whole life to do the camino, so I'll just have to be patient and wait a while longer. Current plan is to train over the winter (as my walking schedule went completely out the window during lock down), and keep my fingers crossed that I'll be able to go late March/early April 2021
