I purchased the Wise Pilgrim app for the Francés. In the App Store it said it could be shared with up to six family members. My husband and I both have sharing enabled on our phones but cannot work out how to share. If we use the QR code in the app it just sends a link to the app for him to purchase. It doesn’t show up under subscriptions. Does anyone have an idea?

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Well, this one has me stumped. Family Sharing is indeed appearing as an option, but as a developer it is not something that I have explicitly activated or de-activated apart from agreeing to it in the developer agreement; which is to say I don't know why it is shown as sharable unless it is a default option set by Apple. I agree it should be sharable.

But I have never used the Family Sharing feature myself, so this is new territory. A search turned up this link with good instructions:

Use your iPhone or iPad to download content that family members purchased

  1. Open the App Store, Apple TV app, or Apple Books.
  2. Find your family member's purchases.
    • App Store: Tap your profile picture at the top of the screen, then tap Purchased.
    • Apple TV app: Tap the Library tab, then tap Family Sharing.
    • Apple Books: Tap your profile picture at the top of the screen.
  3. Tap your family member's name to see their content. Learn what to do if you don’t see any content or can't tap your family member.
  4. To download an item, tap the Download button next to it.

I should add that the sharing qr/link in the app menu exists in a world apart from Family Sharing. I put it there to help you help me help other pilgrims find the app.

Do let me know if the instructions above work, and thanks for the support!

Wise Pilgrim - I am mystified because I downloaded your Camino Frances app and was not asked to pay anything? I am more than happy to pay for it because I have used your apps for 3 other Caminos, and always recommend them, but it just downloaded immediately

I wonder if you got the free "light" version rather than the entire guidebook version.
BTW when my husband gets home we'll try the instructions above. Thanks for the assistance.

I'm guessing either you paid for it in the past and forgot about it, or bought it as part of a bundle and forgot about it. I'm not saying you're forgetful, I'm saying Apple isn't one to lose a sale.
